Areas of Practice

Proven Leadership

People Management

I have lead teams of over 50 technical direct reports. Whether in a crisis situation or explaining technology to business or customer facing partners I excel in providing stable, effective leadership.

Exo-Scale Projects

Infrastructure Design & Architecture

I have consulted and worked directly on projects that impact hundreds of thousands of devices and tens of millions of customers. Scale is always a concern but proper planning, testing and expertise always make a huge difference.

Security Architecture

Security first and security in depth with Zero Trust principles

Information security is a passion of mine. I love to talk about how we can make a more secure future a possibility. I work with technology teams, and business partners to evangelize industry standards around security.

Advanced Identity Expertise

Identity and Access Management (IAM)

Sometimes there are parts of your career and life which just make sense. This was my experience diving into the complex world of access management. I feel that it is the glue that holds our security framework together. I have worked to help large companies move away from aging less secure technology, then architected and lead migrations to modern, secure solutions, all while minimizing downtime and maximizing budget.

Community Driven Leadership

Volunteer and cofounder for non-profit cyber security conference

We all have things that we do outside of work. One of my passions has been volunteering. Just before the covid-19 pandemic I helped to found Cannon Fodder Security, Inc. Which is a 501C3 dedicated to educating and training cyber security professionals in my community. We have hosted various small in person events and one large years security conference called “Queen City Con”. Frequently Asked Questions

What are you cofounder of?

Shortly before with Covid-19 pandemic hit, a good friend and colleague of mine, William McGuire and I, founded Cannon Fodder Security (501c3), with the aim of hosting Queen City Conference in Cincinnati. In 2023 we hosted our first conference in person with over 300 attendees. You can find out more at www.queencitycon.org.

What parts of identity security are you focused on?

Identity and Access Management (IAM) is and always has been a passion of mine. From helping build out massive SCEP driven certificate proxy solutions for SSO, to working with PCI/HIPPA/SOX audits in the IGA space to privilege access management, I’ve worked on a bit of everything. This includes custom homegrown and off the shelf solutions

Can you tell me more about retail mobile management and deployments?

I have lead architecture and development of custom managed android launchers as well as customized off the shelf products like Workspace One and Intune. In total I helped to deploy over 175,000 devices in under two years. Scale, customizability and security are all aspects I excel at.

What size teams are you comfortable leading?

As of writing this section I have worked as a technical lead, architect and manager. In these various roles I have worked as an individual contributor as well as manager of others. I have lead teams in the supervisor role of over 50 direct reports but would prefer a leadership hierarchy when I lead a team of that size.

What do you love most about your work?

I see all the users of the products myself and my team work on as my customers. Making a difference with technology is pure joy for me and I truly love my work.
